Driving to Gulu

We started the long drive yesterday morning from Kampala in the south to Gulu in the north. While the roads were better than most in Liberia, it felt like forever. Fortunately, I'm still between Boston time and Uganda time, so I dozed in and out of consciousness a lot of the way.

Some sights from the road:
Kampala skyline

Outdoor market

Pine trees... in Africa?

Ugandan equivalent of KFC

My room in Gulu

Today, we walked around town and went to the office (more pictures to come). I definitely didn't need to bring so much stuff. They have everything and more in town. The weather is also a lot nicer than expected... not too humid, not too hot. Well, I guess that's it for now. :)
